Message at the shop we had a TT which was brought to us to have
Majestic "Super T28s" installed. First, these turbos came
with the wrong wastgate actuators (apparently) and we had
to modify the wastegate rods themselves (after consulting
with JWT and HKS) to make them work. This was after we
had pulled the turbos and taken them back and argued with
the builder that his turbos were garbage and he refused to
fix them.

.....anyway.....

once they would make correct boost the car was strong but
one of the turbos soon failed anyway so the motor came out
again. This time JWT Sport 600s went in and the car was
SOOO much better. With the 600s there is no real difference
in lag over stock (this car has extrude honed exhaust
manifolds, lightweight pulley and flywheel which helps) and
power was good.

So from the perspective of performance, I would get the 500s
or 600s. Without question the 600 was better than the
monster "T28s" that went in originally in terms of lag and
maximum hp.

From the perspective of quality, I would get the 500s or
600s as I've lost all faith in the average turbo shop's
ability to build a turbo right.

Spend the money for the quality and reliability, you won't
regret it.
